Abstract:
Plasma facing materials(PFM) has been one of the most important technological questions for fusion reactor study.Among of traditional PFM candidates(C,Be,and W),W materials exhibits the most promising applications. However, pure W still has several drawbacks such as low re-crystallization tempera-ture,and high ductile-brittle transition temperature. Therefore, great efforts have been devoted to new W-based alloy and composite materials in recent years. In this paper, the classification and the research pro-gress of the W-based materials are reviewed.Especially, the underlying microscopic mechanisms of enhanced performance of these materials are summarized. At last, the research prospect for W-based PFM is proposed.
