Abstract: This paper introduces the basic situation and the latest progress of nuclear power units in China, as well as the related measures of improving the safety level of nuclear facilities. Under the requirement of the “national energy administration's 13th five-year plan for energy technology innovation”, China has launched a series of development plans for nuclear power and small modular reactors, carryed out the demonstration construction project of marine nuclear power platform, and established relevant standards. At last, it summarizes the current challenges and future outlook for nuclear power in China.
