Abstract

Abstract

The core loading pattern and physics performance of the uranium zirconium hydride power reactor with close packed lattice fuel assemblies are studied with the renewed in-core fuel management code package. The study shows that although the UZr H_1.6 tight lattice reactor has less uranium than UO₂ core which has the same disposal, it retains the higher inherent safety and the flatted power distribution.
