Abstract

Abstract

As a new type of non-destructive static cutting technology, diamond wire saw system has great potential in cutting and dismantling the decommissioned heavy concrete structures of nuclear facilities because of its environmental protection, high efficiency and safety. In this paper, the demolition status of heavy concrete structure in a nuclear facility is briefly introduced, and then the influence of different cooling and cutting methods on cutting and dismantling the heavy concrete structure of hot cell is studied. The results show that the lowest wear coefficient is 1.4×10⁻⁵ and the maximum cutting efficiency is 0.66 m²/h for heavy concrete with a cutting ratio of 4.2 t/m³ by water-cooled diamond wire saw and tension cutting.
