Study and Optimization of Debris Transport in Containment Sump

  • The process of debris transport in containment sump of CPR1000 nuclear power plant is studied,and different methods to decrease the debris load on the filter are analyzed and calculated.It is found that by setting some internal barriers into the containment sump,the flow in the sump will be more steady,and the debris load that can be transported to the filter will be reduced.Therefore,safer margin for sump filter design can be provided.
