Research on Fracture Toughness of A508-Ⅲ Steel in Transition Range

  • Master curve method is developed to evaluate the elastic-plastic fracture toughness of ferritic material in transition region.It has been successfully used in RPV integrity assessment.The tensile tests of A508-Ⅲ steel in-50℃ is performed.As part of RPV aging management base data,this research focuses on the test method of KJC and T0 using Pre-Cracked Charpy V notched(PCCv) samples and 0.5 inch Compact Tensile(CT) samples.The test temperature is-50℃.Results show that,the difference of T0 between PCCv and 0.5CT is only 0.6℃.
