  • Boron carbide is an important ceramic material,which is widely used in civil,military and nuclear industries.The boron carbide synthesis methods include direct synthesis method,carbothermal reduction,self-propagation high-temperature synthesis,mechanochemical method,chemical vapor deposition,sol-gel method and solvothermal method.In this paper the main characteristics and development of boron carbide synthesis methods are summarized.
