Abstract:
Numerical calculation and a more detailed flow analysis are presented, based on the body-fitted coordinate system, hybrid finite analytical method and
k -
ε turbulence model that are applied to predict the flows in jet pump for boiling water reactor. Predictions have been made and compared with experimental data pertaining to the centerline velocity decay and wall static-state pressure variation. The theoretical predictions compare well with the experimental data. The flow analysis results show that the jet potential core length and the appearance of the re-circulation in jet pump flows depend strongly on the flow ratio.
