Design of Time D-T Neutron Tube

A new type of D-T neutron tube with time function has been designed,which will replace ²⁵²Cf source and be used as an interrogation source for the Nuclear Materials Identification System（NMIS） and the reactor noise analysis system. An alpha particle detector is installed in a D-T neutron tube, the time of the emitted neutron will be measured by detecting the alpha particles generated by the T（d,n）⁴He reaction.The design accords with the conditions of the reactor noise analysis system,which relies on the mature craft of neutron tube in China.
