This paper studied the resistance characteristics of single-phase flow through porous media in numerical way. The flow field is modeled by the Brinkman-Darcy-Forchheimer model. The results obtained from this model agree well with the experiment results. The resistance loss coefficient
Kloss of the model has been discussed. It is founded that
Kloss dominated the resistance and the influence of Reynolds number on
Kloss should be taken into account when Reynolds number at the high values.Numerical results also show that the resistance decreased with the increasing of dimensionless diameter D.
