This paper introduces the measurement method and result for the
252Cf fast ionization chamber fission neutron and γ ray TOF spectrum, and describes the composition and working principle of the measurement system in detail. The neutron and γ ray TOF spectrum measured by this method, with the FWHM of its γ ray peak being 0.9ns at best, can be applied to timing precision measurement for nuclear detection system and to check the effect of n-γ discrimination.
