Analytic function expansion nodal method for hexagonal geometry is improved,by introducing the discontinuity factors based on the analytic function expansion nodal method,and the programs FEMHEX-DF and FEMHEX-DFH have been developed.This paper has calculated two benchmark problems with UO
2 and MOX fuel assemblies by these programs,and the numerical results confirm that the improved method can increase the computational accuracy of the core power distributions and keff effectively,especially to the heterogeneous core.
