Study of Critical Heat Flux in Rectangular Channel with Narrow Gap under Natural Circulation Condition

  • Critical heat flux (CHF) in rectangular channel with narrow gap is investigated and compared to the prediction of Sudo equations under low pressure and low mass velocity. Though the majority of experimental data are less than prediction, they are still in the zone of 33% deviation permitted by Sudo equations. It proves Sudo equations can predict CHF in this type of rectangular channel.
