The paper describes a new mothod for Polyantimonic Acid (PAA) synthesized and absorb capacticy of Sr
2+ and UO
22+ on PAA. PAA synthesized by oxidation process with SbCl
3 is with good mechanical strength and suitable for column operation. PAA has high affinity for Strontium in acid solution, and the adsorption capacity for Sr
2+ is 42mg/g in 0.1mol/L nitrate acid solution. But the adsorption capacity of UO
22+ on PAA is 27.7 mg/g. The results show that PAA can be used for
90Sr removal from acid solution without UO
22+.
