Difference between Flow Accelerated Corrosion and Erosion-Corrosion of Carbon Steel Pipes

  • This paper introduced the wall thinning research on two typical carbon steel pipes in the con-ventional island of a nuclear power plant.Operation condition analysis,chemical composition analysis,me-tallic phase analysis,micrographic examination,and XRD analysis are performed.The difference between erosion-corrosion and flow accelerated corrosion are made clear during the research.Measures to solve the wall-thinning problems of different pipes are also given in this paper.
