Design Validation Test of Fuel Assembly of China Advanced Research Reactor

  • CARR fuel assemblies are manufactured and used for the first time in China.To ensure the integrity and the safety of the fuel assembly under CARR operation conditions,CARR Project Department arranged a series of design validation tests,such as the tests for structure stability,flow-inducedvibration(FIV),critical velocity,heat circulation,in-pile irradiation and etc.The test results indicated the design and manufacture of CARR fuel assembly are reasonable,and the fuel assembly will be stable and safe under CARR operation condition.
