Nuclear Power Engineering is the official journal of the China Nuclear Energy and Power Society and is a comprehensive and authoritative academic journal in the field of nuclear energy and power in China. The abstract is included in the Engineering Index (EI) of the United States, and the journal is a source journal for China's core Chinese journals, the China Academic Journal Comprehensive Evaluation Database, and the China Science Citation Database. Nuclear Power Engineering mainly publishes the latest research results and trends in the field of nuclear energy science and technology in China, and comprehensively introduces the latest achievements and development trends in theoretical research, experimental technology, engineering design, NPP operation and maintenance, safety protection, equipment development in the field of nuclear energy and power and other fields directly related to nuclear energy and power application in China.
1. Contribution requirements: The journal is a monographic publication and does not accept submissions of review articles or survey papers unless under exceptional circumstances. The content of articles shall be concise, with clear viewpoints and credible data. Article formatting shall follow the latest versions of GB-7713 and GB-7714; please strictly use the legal measurement units of the People's Republic of China. The content of articles shall not involve state secrets or trade secrets and sensitive information. Authors shall go through the confidentiality examination procedures according to the relevant regulations of their respective organizations. For articles that the editorial office considers potentially sensitive, authors are required to provide an original certification from their organization confirming that "the content does not involve any confidentiality issues and is suitable for publication," as per the editorial office's request.
2. Contribution method and requirements: Please submit your articles by visiting the website http://hdlgc.xml-journal.net/, click the "Author Login" button, and register according to the prompts. During registration, please set your password to a strong password combining letters, numbers, and underscores. The following documents are also required: the "Article in Word Format," the "Copyright License Agreement" and the "Confidentiality Review Certificate". Additionally, for submissions from authors affiliated with the Nuclear Power Institute of China, an "Intellectual Property Certificate" must also be provided. Please provide the author's e-mail address, telephone number and accurate postal address at the time of submission.
3. Requirements for articles: The journal strictly adheres to national standards and regulations. Please prepare your articles in accordance with the current national standards and regulations. Specific writing requirements for articles can be found in the "Thesis Template" available for download in the download center.
4. Requirements regarding academic integrity: Submissions must consist of original research papers that have not been published elsewhere. Please refrain from submitting the same article to multiple journals. The editorial office will conduct checks for academic misconduct on all submitted articles to determine their eligibility for acceptance.
5. Article processing flow: The journal implements a strict three-level review system, which includes an initial review (comprising both editorial preliminary review and committee review), external review (i.e., double-blind peer review), and final review by the editor-in-chief. Once accepted, the article will undergo editing, typesetting, proofreading, and other processes before being published online and in print. For details, please click "Article Processing Flow".
6. First publication online: To expedite and effectively establish authors' priority for their research findings through standardized online journal publishing, while enhancing the dissemination efficiency and value of academic papers, the journal has officially published its online version via China Academic Journals (Online Edition) (CAJ-N). All articles that are approved and accepted by the journal (final acceptance) will first be published in the online version of the journal. Depending on the typesetting arrangements, the final typeset version and the compilation of that issue will be published subsequently, followed by the print edition of the journal. Once the final accepted version is published online, authors are not allowed to modify the title of the paper, author names, affiliations, or the academic content. According to the relevant national regulations on the management of online continuously published materials, papers published online are regarded as officially published works. The journal, in collaboration with the electronic publishing agency, will issue a certificate of first publication online to authors. Authors can download or print their papers and certificates from the "China National Knowledge Infrastructure" to submit as officially published works to relevant departments such as human resources and research management.
7. Open access statement: Articles published in Nuclear Power Engineering are available for open access under A Creative Commons License (CC License), allowing readers to freely browse, download, and use the content. The journal adopts the "CC BY-NC-ND: Author Name (BY) - Non-Commercial Use (NC) - No Derivatives (ND)" license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/). Users may copy, distribute, exhibit, perform, screen, broadcast, or publicly transmit articles published in the journal via information networks; however, they must indicate the original author, limit their use to non-commercial purposes, and refrain from creating derivative works. Articles published in the journal are generally available for free in electronic format on our website (http://hdlgc.xml-journal.net/) at the same time as they are published in print. Users can download and read the electronic version directly without the need for registration.
8. Copyright statement: The journal has authorized third-party institutions, such as the China Academic Journals (CD Edition) Electronic Publishing Agency, to digitally copy, compile, distribute, and disseminate the full text of the journal in relevant database products. After the publication of the paper, the remuneration paid by the journal includes the copyright usage fee for the paper, and the publishing entity will not make any additional payments to authors. By signing the "Copyright License Agreement", authors are deemed to agree to the above statement and to transfer part of the copyright to the journal Nuclear Power Engineering. At the same time, authors have the right to allow third parties to share their articles (such as storing in institutional repositories) in accordance with A Creative Commons License (CC BY-NC-ND). Additionally, authors may also use their articles for other purposes (non-commercial, without creating derivative works).
9. Fees: Upon acceptance of an article, the author will incur a page charge calculated based on the article's length and an external review fee dependent on the number of reviews conducted, and will receive remuneration for the article. The page fee is charged at CNY 500 / page, while the external review fee is CNY 150 / (person·time). No additional fees will be charged.
